Emerald Hollow is found in Hiddenite, between Statesville and Taylorsville. It is operated by Hiddenite Gems and allows visitors to search for their own gems and minerals. To get there from I-40, go west on NC90 to Taylorsville. Hiddenite is roughly 12 mi (19 km) away. Once in Hiddenite, turn right on Sulphur Springs Road and follow the green signs.
